AkzoNobel: First Liquid Wast Redu-Reox Energy from Waste Plant
March 10, 2014
Europem successfully commissioned the world’s first redu-reox incinerator for liquid waste and suspensions. The redu-reox process ensures that NOx formation during the combustion of nitrogen containing waste streams remains at a minimum.
The first results show that NOx emission levels are less than 50% of the permitted values. The unit transforms production waste into energy and currently supplies 100% of the plant’s steam requirements.
